Clinical Endocannabinoid Deficiency
Ethan Russo, MD explores the intricacies of the “endocannabinoid tone” that all humans have, which is a reflection of endocannabinoid levels and the state of cannabinoid receptors. This course outlines the theory that in certain conditions, endocannabinoid tone becomes deficient and produces imbalance and disease. Dr. Russo gives details about the microbiome in the gut and its role in endocannabinoid system (ECS) function. Course participants will develop an understanding of endocannabinoid deficiency syndromes such as fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome, migraine, hyperemesis gravidarum, PTSD, and more. Russo also addresses ways to regulate the ECS with various herbs and foods.
