Zachary Walsh, PhD, RPsych reviews the effects of cannabis on stress, depression, anxiety, and insomnia. The course examines how cannabinoids may be therapeutically beneficial in managing mood disorders, and provides considerations and contraindications for clinical use. Participants will develop an understanding of the latest research, both in laboratory and human studies on cannabinoids for mental health conditions. Dr. Walsh outlines the evidence on mood improvement being a common motive of medical cannabis users. The course also explores the impact of cannabis on motivation, and considerations for Bipolar disorder and psychosis risk.
