Abstract

To the Editors:
We read with interest the article by Chasnoff, which concluded that physicians should be educated about the negative effects of marijuana use during pregnancy and should discourage its use by pregnant women and women considering becoming pregnant. In our view these conclusions are not supported by evidence and warrant further discussion.
