How/Why did you first become interested in medical cannabis?

A family member diagnosed with cancer, specialists said they didn't know anything about cannabis, looked into the science, saw the potential, self educated to specialize in cannabis nursing.

What is your background in medical cannabis?

Cannabis nurse for 6 years. Created the cannabis public education nonprofit 5 years ago to tackle healthcare inequality.

What are you currently working on professionally? Personally?

Professionally I'm working on Leaf411's partnerships to grow the services our communities need and increasing awareness regarding the essential role of the cannabis nurse in every medical setting. Personally I'm working on setting boundaries for a work-life balance with priorities on family and personal growth.

What attracted you to the SCC and/or what do you enjoy most about this community?

The ongoing education provided and the community of colleagues to have open discussions regarding this specialty.

What are your hopes for the future of cannabis medicine?

My hope is that the future of cannabis medicine will continue to show the value of the cannabis patient so the industry would continue creating and selling the variety of products needed to successfully treat their concerns.

Are there any fun facts about yourself you would like to share?

Fun facts about me on a personal level, I have 2 dogs, a teenage daughter and a super supportive husband. We're a very active family and enjoy most outdoor sports but especially water sports.
