DESCRIPTION:Join us for the inaugural Cannabis & Psychedelics Webinar put on by the Society of Cannabis Clinicians is co-hosting with the Psychedelic Medicine Association. \nThe event will focus on highlighting the psychedelic effects of cannabis and the therapeutic approaches of how cannabis can be used in conjunction with psychedelics (for example\, in between psychedelic-assisted therapy sessions to prolong the therapeutic benefits or within sessions to enhance effects\, etc.). The webinar will also focus on research on how psychedelics engage with the endocannabinoid system. His clinical practice in Maine focuses on treating refractory conditions in adults and children. Dr. Sulak is an internationally-renowned expert in medical cannabis\, the author of the first foundational text on its clinical use\, Handbook of Cannabis for Clinicians: Principles and Practice\, and a co-founder of Healer.com\, a medical cannabis education resource. He is a passionate educator and leader in the field of medical cannabis\, and serves on the board of directors of The Society of Cannabis Clinicians. \n  \nSaj Razvi\, LPC is the founder and Director of Education at Psychedelic Somatic Institute. He was a clinical researcher in the MAPS Phase 2 trial of MDMA-assisted psychotherapy. He is faculty at Mind Medicine Australia and formerly taught PTSD studies at the University of Denver. He is the primary developer of the Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Psychotherapy (PSIP) modality which is a next generation non-ordinary state psychotherapy that maximizes the relational and autonomic healing capacity of psychedelic medicine to treat complex\, childhood developmental trauma. His primary focus is to train clinicians to provide legal\, effective psychedelic treatment in their private practice settings utilizing readily accessible medicines such as cannabis and ketamine. She is also an assisting trainer with Fluence\, a company that trains healthcare practitioners in harm reduction informed psychedelic preparation and integration. At her private practice in Brooklyn\, she works with clients using mindfulness\, experiential techniques and ketamine assisted psychotherapy to address depression\, anxiety and life transitions. She also helps clients prepare for psychedelic experiences\, incorporate insights or cope with challenges post-experience. Selected trainings include Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction\, Mindfulness for Clinicians\, Psychedelics 101 & 102 and Beyond Experience Psychedelic Integration Workshop. Outside of work\, she is a mother of two boys ages 5 and 7. \n  \n  \n  \nMark Braunstein\, DO\, ABPN Matthew trained as a psychotherapist at Naropa University in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology. He has been an Independent Rater with the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) since 2012\, currently supporting Phase 3 MDMA Assisted Psychotherapy studies. Matthew has trained in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy with the Ketamine Training Center. He has worked with thousands of suicidal and high acuity clients and is passionate about harm reduction and prevention. Matthew has 12 years clinical experience with individuals with mild to chronic and severe mental illnesses and has a strong ability to remain grounded and support clients in dysregulation\, crisis\, psychosis\, or altered states of consciousness. In addition to developing psychedelic psychotherapy protocols\, he practices ketamine and cannabis-assisted psychotherapy. \n  \n  \n  \n  \nMatthew Campeau\, LPC “Dr. B\,” is a whole health psychiatrist. He completed his residency in general psychiatry and his fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry in 1997. Shortly thereafter\, he began exploring the use of psychoactive plant-based medicines in the treatment of various psychiatric conditions in both children and adults. With over 22 years of clinical experience\, Dr. B has pioneered a new path in psychiatric care that integrates wilderness programming\, exercise\, diet\, spirituality\, and natural medicines. Dr. B is the medical director for multiple mental health clinics\, including a groundbreaking psychedelic psychotherapy practice in Durango\, Colorado. His plant-based dosing protocols have made him a sought-after medical consultant\, advisor\, and educator. With a focus on expanding access\, awareness\, research\, and safety in the field of psychedelics\, Dr. B champions innovative technology and telemedicine at his company Reconscious Medical.
