DESCRIPTION:As part of our continued efforts to share more information about the clinical evidence covered in the SCC’s Clinical Training Curriculum\, our webinar series “Meet the Authors”\, will give participants a unique opportunity to experience discussion with experts in the field of medical cannabis. \nDon’t miss the August edition of “Canna Talk with Frye and Wilson-King” on August 27th as we explore cannabis in geriatrics and assisted living with Mikhail Kogan\, MD.\nThese educational webinars are free for all to attend. The curriculum co-directors Patricia Frye\, MD and Genester Wilson-King\, MD will host informal conversations with Dr. Kogan and discuss how he was introduced to cannabinoid medicine\, what inspired his particular specialty\, and clinical pearls he learned along the way. We will have the opportunity to delve deeper into the topics Dr. Walsh presented in his SCC Clinical Training Module Cannabis in Geriatrics & Assisted Living. Join us by registering via the link below. \n  \nREGISTRATION >> \n  \nMikhail Kogan\, MD\, ABOIM is board-certified in Internal Medicine\, Geriatrics\, Palliative Care\, and Integrative Medicine. Dr. Kogan is a leader in the newly established field of Integrative Geriatrics.  He is the editor of “Integrative Geriatric Medicine” Oxford University Press textbook. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine\, Geriatrics\, Palliative Care\, and Integrative Medicine. Dr Kogan is currently serves as medical director of the GW Center for Integrative Medicine\, associate director of the Geriatric and Integrative Medicine Fellowships at the George Washington University School of Medicine.  Dr Kogan has been early adopter of DC Medical Cannabis program and has been instrumental in DC Rx Medical Cannabis education program.  Dr Kogan is a frequent speaker at a variety of international conferences and has multiple media appearances related to medical cannabis. At present Dr Kogan is conducting pilot research program on assessing non psychoactive forms of cannabis such as CBD and CBDa for neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Diseases.
